Topic 1 of 33 - Your Place in the Learning Journey
How to Use This Guide
I've organized this material into 33 topics in five groups: Foundations, The Biblical Story, The Biblical Languages, Understanding the Bible, and Going Further. The sections are meant to build on each other, but you can still skip around to topics of greatest interest.
First, scroll through the 33 main topics listed on the left side just to see what's covered in the Learning section of this site. Then select a main topic from the left. For the screen you're currently on, you may even go directly to subtopics. Simply, scroll to the bottom of this screen and click on the desired choice. If you start with a main topic, you'll see a plain-language introduction, a visual summary in table form. This will be followed by several subtopics that go deeper on some aspect of the main topic. The short subtopics are quick and easy reading. I encourage you to read them. As you do, you will see that you are painting a clearer biblical picture that will enable you to better understand the the Bible and how the "puzzle pieces" fit together.
Second, I encourage you to scroll the content during your idle time - waiting at the doctor's office, riding as a car passenger, leisurely reclining at home. You may be surprised at how much you'll gain. Also, as you do this, I hope you will find the Bible coming alive for you.
